Kumar Sangakkara is my favourite cricketer.He is a real legend in world criket.He is a Sri Lankan former professional cricketer.Icc Hall of Frame inductee. He is a former captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket who is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the sport. He was officially rated in the top three currant batsmen in all three formats of the game at various stages of his international career in the world.Sangakkara scored 28,016 runs in international cricket across all formats in a career that spanned 15 years. At retirement, he was the second-highest run-scorer in One day Cricket.He is the sixth-highest run scorer in Test cricket.
He was a wicket keeping batsman.His full name is Kumar Chokshanada Sangakkara.He was born in Matale.He is a left handed batsman.His nickname is Sanga.He played for Sri Lanka from 2000 to 2015.
His test debut was 4th of july in 2000 againt South Africa.He played his last test in 20th of August in 2015 with India.His ODI and T20 debuts were 2000 year against Pakistan and England.
Sangakkara won the ICC Cricketer of the year in 2012 and won many other awards for both Test and ODI cricket. He was selected as Leading Cricketer of the world in the 2012 and 2015 editions of Wisdon becoming the second player to have won this award twice. Sangakkara was rated as the Greatest ODI player of all time in a public poll conducted by Australian criket in 2016. He won the Man of the Match in the finals of the ICC T20 world cup in 2014 tournament and was part of the team that made the final of the 2007,2009,2011and 2012 world cups.He won the Man of the Match award in the final of the 2014 ICC World Twenty20, where he helped Sri Lanka win their first title.
He is a real legend in all formats in cricket history.
